One-handed removing F450 center cap with Indexable Pry Bar

This Ares Indexable Pry Bar makes removing the center cap of a F450 (and presumably any DRW super duty) a simple one-handed task. When not holding a phone you can use your other hand to catch the center cap when it pops. I did move from one hole to the next as you can easily tell that some of the slots provide better leverage.

The data on my SD card was corrupt so this is the best I can provide. I know for a fact a 2:15 was well within reach, just didn't put together a lap to do it. Predictive was in the 2:15s for the lap until a bobble around the stadium section. Tricky track to learn, and more laps would certainly pay dividends.

1st session of the morning.... I was 4 or 5 laps in and thought I had enough heat in the tires. Wheel was almost straight, and I was rolling on the throttle exiting the turn, still taking it somewhat easy. Then from 75-100% throttle, with a tire on the curbing, the back end let loose.

    Which Magnaflow exhaust system is this....which mufflers did you use? My customer loves the tone. Hes also got a 70 Chevelle SS396....with a 496 in his car with Brodix heads and intake and big tube headers.

      This was…11 years ago, so can’t exactly recall. It is my recollection that this was the Magnaflow “kit” for the 70-72 but with the Flowmaster rear pipes (as they are/were better designed.

    Damn that's nuts!!! There were 3-4 tenths in carousel exit through 19 as well but besides that super clean. About 1000x better than I did! 💚

    Eric, Can u tell me more about the paddle shift set up? Looks way better than ur sequential, and my manual. Taking a hand off the wheel at 120 mph in a corner is always suspect……

      It's the same sequential, but pneumatically activated by paddle shifters.

      Katech has no parts on this car. GSpeed designed, engineered, and built this combo (engine, car, etc.). 830whp / 3150 race ready.

      From 12 on, my lap was.....compromised. Not by Lyfe necessarily, I just got greedy, tried to over compensate, and then missed some key turn in points.

    I've met and talked to Feras at F1 Las Vegas. His turbo C6 time attack is a beast but OMG Eric your NA setup is just as good. ❤ reason why I just leave my street car C6Z built NA too.❤❤❤

      It’s a second and a half faster than SRO qual 2, and the same time as sro qual 1, and 2 sec faster than the factory GTLM C7R on a customer tire, not a confidential tire. Did I mention that it’s driven by the car owner, and not a wringer driver? Did I mention it’s shelf parts you can buy on eBay not exotic factory built race car with millions of dollars of development by the OEM and a bunch of enthusiasts? I think it’s cool, and so do so many others.

      It's crazy that it's on par with GT3 car Qualy times. The fastest n/a GT3 lap this year was a 2:03.5 in a Mercedes AMG GT3. Very impressive that this lap was so close

      I think so too... This was not a "proud" lap when I watch it back. Messed up several key areas that cost me a bit of time.

      Thanks for sharing the lap! It's not the best lap, but it isn't bad either. Maybe ~2s to be found on the high end if my sense of speed is calibrated correctly ;). That would take the overall record of course! Didn't you say this was a lot of firsts? I don't remember exactly... first time @ COTA maybe? First time with those tires? I'm sure you'd be there with a few more fast sessions to practice and get dialed in. Either way, I really like the car, and hope to see more of it!@@EricDFleming

      @@colinbowman8816 I think 2 would be really strong based on what we were seeing in the data, but gains to be had no doubt. I’m not proud of my line in this video…we worked on tidying up the driving all weekend. To that point, yes first time I had ever driven a Michelin slick, and first time for anything big(ish) aero. It was a helluva steep learning curve. I’m also had not driven this car since April of the prior year due to an unfortunate on-track incident. So all sorts of rust to knock off and quickly get up to speed. All in, I’m happy with where we ended up!

      Correct. Last off season the car was gutted of all remaining factory wiring. All motorsports stuff at this point.

    1:27 You went through the kink with a min speed of about 108mph... you were about 15mph slower than what you could have run through the kink. Great driving, btw! Holy cow!

    Sorry idk too much about this car, but is it stick? And are you heel toe downshifting thru all those gears for turn 10? That sounded so fast and smooth I thought it had to be a sequential Lol nevermind I just read description, is indeed sequential. Incredible lap tho!

    Probably the baddest c6 I've ever seen. Had no idea this car was that fast. Almost 180 at cota. Wow congrats on everything you did last year. Impressive to say the least. You should do a full video on the car. Like weight, power, suspension, tc system

    Very easy to get wheel spin at low throttle in that thing. Perhaps the diff is a little too tight. Seems like it could use more squat in the rear, especially on a slow technical track like CMP.

      Possibly... This car is also pretty touchy at throttle tip-in with such a large throttle body. This was my 1st time at CMP outside of a DE day in an slow car many years ago, but regulars said the track lacked grip compared to normal/prior visits. This car runs a relatively light spring and pretty small bars already. Compression could have been softened a touch but just managing throttle application is tricky. I'm not hugely thrilled with how gentle I have to be on throttle tip-in.

      @@EricDFleming Watching it again a couple times carefully. It really appears to be very loose everywhere Corner entry off throttle, mid corner, definitely on exit. What's your chassis rake like? Really seems like the back end of the car isn't in the track at all. Has decent brake dive, I see it rubbing the rf tire over the creek crossing. Do you have bump rubbers in there?

      @@WyFoster I don't disagree with your assessment. I don't recall how much rake is in the car, but 3/4" sounds familiar. That is the first time the RF has rubbed under braking, I attribute that more to the new wheel offset than excessive nose dive. I have titanium blocks on splitter and while there are indications of rub, none of the video/pictures/etc. I've seen of the car on track show sparks. Possibly more front compression and less on rear and/or checking rebound to help weight transition a bit better.

      ​@@EricDFleming 20mm of rake is a large amount for something so powerful. I'd drop the back down to maybe 5-8mm. That should help significantly.
